Well, I have to say that today presents a great opportunity for teaching my daughter that you can't win all the time, not even mommies and daddies!  Bentobloggy came in a very close second to the first place blog in the About.com Readers' Choice Awards, and even though we didn't achieve first place, I'm still ecstatic to have been recognized as having a worthy message and a great blog. We just had a wonderful visit with my parents who left for home this evening, and as usual they totally spoiled us.  We took E to her first circus - Ringling Bros - and had some pretty awesome seats.  It was a lot more fun than I had expected, though paying $12 for a bag of cotton candy made me feel a little ill in more ways than one!  But, a great show, and so nice to have this time with my mom & dad.

Whew!  I'm about dead right now, we spent all day yesterday with friends hiking in the North Georgia mountains and saw five or six waterfalls (including one I took a tumble at when I was pregnant with Ella!  Those steps are still treacherous, even without your center of gravity being off by 30 pounds.)  Perfect weather, fresh air, great friends, my beloved husband and our darling little girl.

We are really gearing up today for our first week of school.  Today E met her teachers (whom she already knew, she had Mrs. M last year and we love her.)  Her first full day of school is Friday, so we will have a bento for sure.  Today's also a momentous occasion, because I had two ladies come in and clean my house for 4 hours.  And it needed it, having been away so often these past few months, some things have gotten neglected.  I could've cried when I came home, everything looked so beautiful!  They even organized all of E's baby dolls!  Wow.
