3 Bento #270 - Croissant & Meatballs
Tuesday, October 23, 2012
This is a really quick and easy lunch. I included half a buttery, flaky croissant and steamed a few Kirkland (Costco) brand Italian meatballs.
Ella LOVES these golden tomatoes! They are very sweet.
We have a ton of apples on hand since we went apple picking in North Georgia last weekend!
Bento #270 - Italian meatballs, croissant, golden grape tomatoes, and apple slices.
2 Bento #160 - Jasmine Rice & Mini Meatballs
Wednesday, February 2, 2011
These are the mini meatballs from TJ's, I've cut in half and arranged on a bed of jasmine rice, with a little chopped red onion, corn and cilantro. Just a light lunch, she hasn't been feeling well and her appetite has been not there the last few days.
Bento #160 - Jasmine rice with corn, cilantro and red onion, mini meatballs and sliced strawberries.
4 Bento #148 - Last Bento of 2010
Friday, December 31, 2010
Wow, I can't believe this is the last day and last bento of 2010, woo hoo! I hope everyone has a wonderful 2011!! We're on our way to go snow tubing!
Bento #148 - Mini meatballs, homemade dinner roll, organic edamame, clementine and cheese cubes.
9 Bento #145 - Shapes
Thursday, December 16, 2010
Today's bento was all about basic shapes. Circles, squares, ovals, triangles, etc. which E thought was quite fun and enjoyed identifying them all. She had a big appetite today since she skipped snack and ate everything except most of the zucchini bread. We'll save that for after her nap, just before we head to ballet, when something small to snack on invariably puts her in a better mood after she wakes up.
Bento #145 - Spinach ravioli, mini meatballs, homemade zucchini bread, stewed cinnamon apples with honey, ranch dip and cheese cubes.
0 Bento #132 - Mac and Italian Chicken
Saturday, November 6, 2010
Ahh, mac n' cheese, a perennial kid favorite. I've quartered an Aidells Italian chicken meatball for some extra protein (on drumstick skewers!) as well as the edamame, which also has great protein. Fresh frozen raspberries for dessert, and that's what I call lunch!
By the way, that orange cup? It's from a pack of multi-colored egg cups (aka, egg "chairs") I picked up at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago by Zak! Designs. It's a really neat size and shape.
Bento #132 - Organic mac n' cheese, Italian chicken meatball, organic edamame, and frozen raspberries.
3 Bento #118 - Grilled Meatball Sandwich
Friday, October 8, 2010
E really loves those small party meatballs at TJ's, and I mixed it up a bit for lunch by grilling them with some cheese in a sandwich. She said it was delicious (and it was, I had a taste!)
Bento #118 - Grilled cheese & meatballs, fruit salad, salad cream and sugar snap peas.
1 Bento # 87 - Turkey Meatballs & Sweet Peppers
Thursday, June 10, 2010
FIRST of all...the Cookware.com giveaway details will be posted tomorrow. You know, just thought you'd like a heads up. ;)
Today's lunch consisted of those yummy TJ's turkey meatballs (cut in half - they are HUGE). Miss E actually chose all the pick decorations today, which she was tickled to do, given that she doesn't usually have access to my bento supply organizer. This is the first time I've given her raw sweet bell peppers - usually I add them into things I'm cooking, but today I wanted her to try them naked. She was reticent at first because she associates "peppers" understandably with "spicy", but I assured her they were sweet. She ended up loving them and cleaned her entire plate!
Bento #87 - Turkey meatballs, cucumber flowers, sweet bell peppers, yogurt dip and cheese.
3 Bento #83 - Turkey Meatballs & Veggie Fried Rice
Tuesday, May 25, 2010
First of all, I'm so excited about choosing winners for the giveaway contest tomorrow! There have been some wonderful ideas and recipes posted, such an imaginative group (and what good eaters!) I have plans for more contests in near future, since this one has gone so well. Thanks to everyone who participated! I will post winners around noon tomorrow.
Using the tray again today, we have some cute tree animals in our broccoli forest and hanging out on our meatball boulders. The meatballs are turkey, and they are from Trader Joe's. E really loves them, she squealed "HMMM, these are soooo yummy!" She thinks they are chicken, though, which is fine by me. She is still quite wary of most meats, except chicken.
Bento #83 - Veggie fried rice, flame broiled turkey meatballs, steamed broccoli, marinara dipping sauce and craisins.
