0 Bento #258 - Chicken Cilantro Wontons Bynto

Thursday, August 16, 2012

Our first Goodbyn lunch!  This is a Bynto that I bought over the summer in apple green.  The shape is a little awkward for most of E's bags, but it does fit in our insulated EasyLunchbox cooler bags. Yay!

I made a salad of chiffonade bok choy, sliced green onions, fresh mung bean sprouts and red bell peppers, which the wontons are sitting on top of.

More fresh pineapple chunks and some delightful musical note picks, in honor of her first day back at piano lessons.

With the [as of yet] un-decorated top firmly in place.

By the way, isn't that birdie cloth napkin just adorable??  I just received a couple from The Red Poppy Cards & Crafts.  I am kicking myself for not ordering more!

0 Bento #185 - Turkey Omelet & Baby Bok Choy

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

I can't believe there is only one month of school left!  Today we have a simple bento of an omelet with a little cheese and some roasted turkey inside.  I also sauteed a bit of garlic ginger paste with some baby bok choy.  They had it at Costco, which is a first for me to see it.  I was looking for brussels sprouts, but found these instead.

2 Bento #163 - Pups In Blankets & Bok Choy

Friday, February 11, 2011

From little squares of puff pastry and mini hot dogs we have some pigs - or pups - in blankets, sprinkled with a little parmesan cheese and baked.  Some raw baby bok choy with ranch for dipping and an organic apple round it all out.

3 Bento #156 - Chicken, Noodle & Veg Stir Fry

Monday, January 24, 2011

Today's lunch is leftover from last night's dinner.  It's very similar to the Korean barbecue I did last week, the only differences being I used the container of chicken, and instead of yellow squash I used lots of sliced mushrooms, and added a bit more soy sauce and ginger. Same idea, though.  Incidentally, a few of my knuckles are sorely abused from all the ginger peeling and grating I did last night.  Ouch!

Since we have a complete meal in one dish, I just added some grapes on drink stirrer skewers.  I packed along her adorable pink piggy chopsticks, which I'm sure she'll use with zeal, becoming a conversation piece at the lunch table.
