Hi Betsy, thanks for stopping by! These days I've been freezing applesauce and tossing it in with the bag, but you can also use small ice packs. I also use a very cold bottle of water in the top compartment of E's bag to help keep things cold.
Where did you get the "super-cute" tiger container that is holding the goldfish crackers. My son just started Kindergarten, and I am trying to pack his lunch "bento-style. That container would be VERY helpful. Love your blog as always

Hi Emily! That container actually comes from the Dollar Tree, they have a variety of animal snack cups like this one. Can't beat a pack of two for $1!
