E was thrilled with this lunch, she thought it was so cool that she could make her own ham and cheese sandwiches. The toasts are
Alessi crispy biscotte, which are small and fit perfectly into one side of this bento box. Also, the Aussie apple is stuffed with peanut butter, an idea I got from a commenter on my Facebook page. Great idea! E loved that too. The little banana on top is a small spoon to help spread.
Bento #120 - Deconstructed ham and cheese, baby carrots, Aussie apple stuffed with organic peanut butter.

Peanut butter in an apple?! What a genious idea <3 Thanks for sharing!
I'm new-ish here... Can you tell me more about the Aussie Apple? I read your blog daily, and am always envious of E's lunch.
@hepunahele - The Aussie apple is so simple, but so cool. You just slice an apple however you like (I just use a round apple slicer device) and then you carefully put all the pieces and the core back together and secure it with a clean rubber band. In this case, I discarded the core and filled it with peanut butter instead. It keeps it from browning.
Thanks!
Brilliant! I can't wait to try this! Thanks!!
