12 Bento #93 - Octodogs & Jasmine Rice

Saturday, August 14, 2010

E and I visited the Georgia Aquarium yesterday with some friends, and I packed this simple bento for her.  I had made jasmine rice as part of dinner, and it served as a perfect bed for the octodogs.  E has been in some kind of major growth-spurt, so I'm having to pack a bit extra for her these days!  The other day she ate an entire kid size pizza at La Madeleine, along with all the sides!

Bento #93 - Octodogs, carrot chips, celery sticks, jasmine rice, craisins, apple cereal bar snack and applesauce (not shown.)

Cute! I will be making some octodogs this school year!

Saw some Hellow Kitty lunch boxes at Target that I think will work good for Bento. I bought one...single compartment but the handle holds the lunch the right way $10 ... I might end up getting the other one too. IT was $12.99 and looks similar in design to the one you posted about recently... I need to revisit that post and see if it's the same size. :)

That's it, I've gotta visit Target now. As if I needed an excuse ;) I've been loving their Hello Kitty selections in the past month or so. E picked out a bunch of HK hair clips when they had them last.

Your octodogs are so cute! I wish my daughter would eat those! She won't eat dried cranberries either so they now go into my husbands lunch!

I love your concept. I just started to follow you. I have two young kids and it can be a challenge to get them to eat all the right things. Especially, when your family works against you :) I look forward to reading more of your ideas
