10 Bento #136 - Puzzle Ham & Cheese
Friday, November 12, 2010
I got my new Lunch Punch puzzle cutters last week, isn't this so cool? I've found that cutting each individual layer of the sandwich works best for preserving the shapes. What's nice is that the cutter is the perfect size for cutting a standard slice of cheese, with little waste. What are your favorite sandwich shapes?

cooooooool!!!
I started with the one that makes 4 equal triangles (cute and good size for an early eater) and I was just gifted the dino bites (it's ok). My problem is that need to make sure I buy bread that is large enough! And I HAVE been eyeing the puzzle cutter!
The puzzle cutter is just the right size for a normal sized loaf of bread - some of the other cutters I have (the Princess set) require a really large loaf. I like having the choice depending on what size loaves I have.
Love it... I was thinking about buying the puzzle cutters so nice to see it being used by a real person.
Curious to know what bento box that is. It is so shiny!
@Coreen - it's a PlanetBox! It's very neat!
Those are so cute. I got a butterfly one from Target and I never use it. It's to big for a regular loaf of bread so it never looks right.
So.. Do you have like a closet full of different platters and dishes? Every looks simply divine and they all look so different based on the arrangement.
@oregonjewelry - Thanks! I actually have a gigantic deep kitchen drawer dedicated to my bento boxes and accessories (and sometimes the accessories creep into the drawers above and below as well.) One of these days I'll embarrass myself and post a picture of it ;)
As for the picks and things, I have a tackle box-style organizer, which I did a post on here:

Do you always serve the "puzzle sandwich" together as pictured, or do you serve them scattered on the plate? The latter might encourage playing with the food, which might not be a bad thing in and of itself....
Angie, she likes to take them apart and put them back together, the puzzle pieces are so fun!
